I've got my reasons to burn the world - STEPS by LindaMarieAnson I've got my reasons to burn the world - STEPS by LindaMarieAnson
I received few requests, so I did this, because taking a video absolutely failed.

I filed it under the category of tutorials, but really, this is NOT a tutorial. I'm merely showing the process of how I paint (or should I say - speedpaint).
There are mistakes and I realized I didn't finish the eyebrows LOL.

Eh, but this is cool to start, and really interesting and informative even if it's not super detailed. It's amazing the process you go through to get his skin so perfect, I love seeing it ^^

As someone mentioned, I should do STEPS for a lighter, more contrasted picture. This one is too dark. I've realized that I just keep on promising things to people, more and more new paintings, but I'm so lazy and slow, that I'm surprised I manage anything at all. :giggle:

Oh that makes sense, cause we can't even see his hair and he blends into the BG a lot, so ya that'll be interesting to see as well! Really, you draw a lot, especially for the quality of the work, so I don't see this laziness you speak of...

Um, I use the mouse for big segments and my graphic tablet's pen for the rest.

Thank you!

The painting process took me a bit longer than 1 hour. Usually I paint at least 3-5 hours, but this is a speedpaint.

I try to make everything easy. :giggle: Plus this is a speedpaint, so there's not that much of detailing here. (Detailing - is there such word? :XD: )

I think it would have been more effective to show your process with a lighter picture or one with more contrast, but this isn't bad.

I'm usually very reluctant towards doing such things and I guess, it will take me forever to do another one, and that's why you're right, I should've chosen something lighter.

Hey, it's still a nice overview. You're very good at bringing out little details with minimal strokes; your pieces have an air of realism that doesn't rely on minute details to communicate it effectively. I'd love to see an overview sometime that shows that off.

The first step always is creepy. When I apply the basic colors, I always get the ghostly faces. :XD:
